Top Banana

The Dodge Charger in all its variants puts most people who have even a little bit of gasoline in their blood in rapture. But this extremely rare version of the 1970 model is likely to do so especially. What the eye-catching original paint in the color "Top Banana" promises at first glance, is more than confirmed by a closer look. Under the hood slumbers a 440 cui. Engine, which corresponds to 7.2 liters of displacement. This mighty big block engine is beaten by an extremely rare six-pack intake manifold on which three twin carburetors are enthroned. The resulting lush power is then transmitted sportily to the rear axle via the extra-strong manual four-speed Hemi transmission. There, the overall package of the flagship muscle car is rounded off by the most powerful rear axle available at the time, the Dana60. The whole thing is topped by the many performance details of the rare R/T equipment with which the car was born at that time.
This vehicle has not been overpainted in the course of the years but tells in its original paint a story that began behind the Atlantic Ocean and has now led it to us. It is one of the few authentically preserved examples from the last peak of the American musclecar era.

One of extremely few that still has its original paint and you can see its history clearly. Below you will find the picture gallery for the Charger. With detailed documentation that gives you an insight into everything that has already been done to the car.

We have done the following work so far:

The next work would be to put on the vinyl roof and install the headliner. Then the car could be finally completed.
