This Dodge D100 Custom pickup from 1979 comes from the US state of New Hampshire and brings a cool oldschool look with its styling elements such as the curved hood, the rounded fenders and the Stepside cargo area with wood. The original side stripe decals that only the "Warlock" and "Custom" models received from the factory stand out visually. Also ordered by the original buyer in 1979 was the white "Dodge" tailgate lettering. The car is still in its original paint.

This light duty truck is powered by a 318cui V8 engine, with 145 HP (Horsepower) and a torque of 345Nm at 3600rpm. Its casting date: August 1978, so we assume that this is the factory-assembled 318cui engine. This is mated to an A-727 three-speed automatic transmission. The hood release is operated from the inside.
It also features power steering, 3300 LBS front axle, 8 3/8" rear axle with 2.94:1 ratio, 1100 lbs rear leaf springs, and front disc brakes and 10×2.5" rear drum brakes.
In addition, the 15" x 6.5" steel wheels with 5 hole circle, chrome hubcaps and P225-P215/75R15 tires wear. So this pick up has a wheelbase of 115 inches.

An unbased all-rounder

The Stepside cargo area with exterior cargo area lighting offers plenty of space for work materials and hobby equipment.

In addition, the original rear window was exchanged for a version with sliding center window. However, the original one-piece rear window is included with the vehicle. So is a new windshield and a matching new windshield gasket.

The cab has original black single seats with a folding buddy seat in the middle, which is a middle seat that folds into an armrest and matching door panel inserts. A standard steering wheel frames the instruments, including an odometer that shows about 077,000 miles and an oil pressure gauge. Built into the dash are a radio, an ashtray with cigarette lighter, and a roomy glove box with lights.

The pick up is pleasant to drive. The Pick up typical rust spots in the left floor panel were already cut out by us and replaced by new sheet metal. Also we have completely primed the interior floor with black glossy chassis paint. Otherwise it has a solid body.
There are no hidden over-painted sheet metal areas, as the entire car still has its original factory black paint. We lightly buffed and waxed the car. The areas where the top coat of paint has already faded give it a really nice patina that is very rare to come across. In addition, the carburetor was completely disassembled and cleaned in an ultrasonic bath. Then it was reassembled with new gaskets and professionally adjusted. Also the ignition system was checked and optimized.
For the TÜV inspection, we had to remove a lot of technical repairs, which means that the new owner of this vehicle starts in many areas with 0km wear. This includes 4 new tires, new rear lights, 4 new shock absorbers, repaired brake system and much more. All work for MOT and H license plate has been done, so this hurdle is already taken! With the documents included with the purchase you can register it directly and drive it home.
