Rechtlicher Hinweis:
Das Xenon System kann lt. StVo. §50 Abs. 10 in alle Kraftfahrzeuge mit Scheinwerfern für Fern- und Abblendlicht, eingebaut werden, die mit Gasentladungslampen ausgestattet sind, sowie:
1. einer automatischen Leuchtweitenregelung im Sinne Absatzes 8,
2. einer Scheinwerferreinigungsanlage
3. und einem System, das das ständige Eingeschaltensein des Abblendlichtes

Diese Vorschrift ist anzuwenden auf Kraftfahrzeuge,
1. die bereits im Verkehr sind und nach dem 1. April 2000 mit Gasentladungslampen ausgestattet werden
2. oder die am 1. Juni 2000 auf Grund einer Betriebserlaubnis erstmals in den Verkehr gekommen sind.

Gem. §22 a Abs. 1 Nr. 7 StVZO wird das Benutzen von Gasentladungslicht in nicht bauartgeprüften Scheinwerfern als Ordnungswidrigkeit gewertet und kann mit einem Bußgeld geahndet werden. Ein Austausch von Vorschaltgeräten in bauartgenehmigten Gasentladungsscheinwerfern ist nur zulässig, wenn die Genehmigungs- und Teilenummern der Vorschaltgeräte übereinstimmen
