Mit dieser Teilezusammenstellung könnt ihr aus eurem 383cui Motor einen 496cui Motor bauen.
Realisiert wird dieser drastische Hubraumanstieg durch eine spezielle Kurbelwelle die deutlich mehr Hub hat. Der Kolben macht also einen deutlich größeren Weg. Mit diesen 30% mehr an Hubraum kann man recht einfach 30% mehr Leistung erzeugen. Dafür müßen allerdings auch die anderen Bauteile des Motors entsprechend angepasst werden. Wir können euch hier je nach Leistungswunsch entsprechende Sets zusammenstellen. Eine recht gut passende milde _street_ Kombination bieten wir auch unter MPSP-383-530 an. Der Block muß im unteren Bereich der Bohrung für die Pleuelschrauben etwas freigefräßt werden.
Die Hauptlager müßen teilweise für den Radius der Kurbelwelle nachgearbeitet werden, optional sind gegen Aufpreis aber auch schon fertig bearbeitete Lager bestellbar (chamfered Bearings)

Turn that docile factory 383 block into a fire breathing, pavement twisting engine of almost 500 cubic inches, and no one (even the car show judges) will ever be able to tell it's not a 383... until they go for a ride! The time has arrived to dust off those 383 blocks we've been leaving in the back of the garage all those years. Chrysler made 4 times as many 383's as they did 440's, and it's no longer necessary to dig up a 440 block to get almost 500 cubes! The low deck, 4.250_ stroke version of our Platinum Series crank used in this kit has the smaller 2.200_ (big block Chevy sized) journals,and the counterweights are finished at the smaller _B_ engine size, to ensure they will drop right into the block with no counterweight clearancing issues. Depending on the block used, many of customers find this kit drops right in with no modifications whatsoever! Please note that Clevite's only main bearings available for 383 engines are the _P_ series bearings. These bearings may require slight modification to clear the larger radius on our cranks.
