P-Series rod bearings are the oldest members of the Clevite 77 performance bearing family. They are designed for high speed motors, especially those where the high speeds cause the rod bores to narrow. To compensate for this narrowing, these direct replacement bearings have higher eccentricity and a high pinch factor. Clevite's P-Series rod bearings are built on hardened steel beams with extra-thin overlays. Their lower sections have mating holes for use with aluminum rods, and variants are available with 0.001 inch of additional clearance.
