This throttle bracket is designed to work with an Edelbrock Performer RPM manifold on a B engine (383 or 400), or intakes which are similiar height. The bracket is the correct height to allow you to hook up a factory 3-part kickdown linkage to a factory carburetor when using a taller intake manifold. The vertical rod in the kickdown linkage will need to be adjusted almost to the end of its range in order for it to be tall enough to work, but it will fit. Use with the AR008 throttle return kit.
We recommend the use of the AR008, or AR119, throttle return spring kit with this throttle bracket. We also recommend that you double check your throttle cable for proper operation. In many cases, you’ll require a longer throttle cable when using a taller bracket such as this. Several different throttle cables are still available from your local Chrysler dealer if you need a longer one.
