Most of the trim on our Mopars is made of stainless steel and only needs to be polished to look good again. However, in some areas cast aluminum was used, which was then chrome-plated. Over the years this can develop unsightly blisters and corrosion. Restoring these cast parts is an extremely labor-intensive process that nowadays very few chrome shops still carry out properly.
One of the typical Mopar problem areas is the vent window frame along the A-pillar. At least for 1968–70 Dodge and Plymouth B-Bodies, there are now two solutions we can offer you. The more expensive option is a fully pre-assembled unit with the vent glass and all related components. The alternative is a set consisting only of the two parts per side that are usually damaged. Unless you have plenty of time, advanced technical skills, and the right tools, we recommend choosing the complete assembly - you'll find it listed below.
