Exhaust System to the Exhaust Manifold (with Muffler)
All TTI exhaust systems are made of steel that is aluminized as a special rust protection in the exhaust area. This means that the steel pipes are coated with a thin layer of aluminum on both the inside and outside.
Diffusion ensures that a thin layer of aluminum oxide forms on the surface. This layer is heat-resistant up to 1500° and has self-healing properties in an oxygen-rich environment at high temperatures. This layer effectively prevents corrosion of the exhaust system without becoming brittle or fragile, unlike a stainless steel system.
We have over 20 years of experience with TTI systems and have never had to replace one. Neither due to rust damage nor any other issues.
