Chrysler installed 5/16 in. - 8 mm (hose inner diameter / fuel filter inlet and outlet outer diameter) fuel hoses and fuel filters in up to 90% of its vehicles as standard equipment.
The remaining 10% were high-performance models (426 cui Hemi, 440 cui Wedge) that came from the factory with the larger 3/8 in. – 9.5 mm diameter.
The third group consists of performance-tuned engines, which are generally also equipped with 3/8 in. – 9.5 mm hoses.
