Product Description
Fuel Filter 5/16in. in and out
Finally, an affordable fuel filter that’s identical in design to an OEM part and fits 90% of all Mopars—at least if they haven’t been modified in that area.
It’s made of sheet metal, not cheap plastic; its 5/16-inch (8 mm) hose connections are exactly what Mopar uses on most vehicles; and it even comes with the two hose sections and authentic-looking hose clamps. It doesn’t get much better than this.
Chrysler installed 5/16 in. - 8 mm (hose inner diameter / fuel filter inlet and outlet outer diameter) fuel hoses and fuel filters in up to 90% of its vehicles as standard equipment.
The remaining 10% were high-performance models (426 cui Hemi, 440 cui Wedge) that came from the factory with the larger 3/8 in. – 9.5 mm diameter.
The third group consists of performance-tuned engines, which are generally also equipped with 3/8 in. – 9.5 mm hoses.
