These Hydroboost power brake assist units work hydraulically by plumbing into your power steering lines. Not only does this eliminate the need for engine vacuum, the unit itself is much smaller than common vacuum boosters, providing much needed clearance in Hemi applications. Whether you now have manual brakes or vacuum assist, these hydroboost units will increase your driving comfort, decrease your stopping distance, and when coupled with the aluminum Wilwood master cylinder, will add a great big touch of style under the hood. o CNC Machined T6 billet aluminum direct fit firewall mounting plate design o This model fits the later GM in.long rod / deepin. master cylinder design (scroll down to the see images at the bottom of this page for visual comparison) o All engines with PS pump on driver's side - compatible with rack and pinion conversions o For use with disc / drum or disc / disc brakes (not for use with 4 wheel drum brakes) o Features an adjustable brake pedal rod to allow for a range of brake pedal height adjustment o Models with 4' / 6' PS line set include overlength hoses with re-usable / re-buildable hose ends o Eliminates the factory stamped steel firewall re-inforcement plate o 6.875in. installed length from firewall to MC mounting flange - no firewall modifications required Compatible with any brake kit, stock or otherwise. Please allow up to 500 miles of operation for systems to fully in.settle / break inin.! Until all the air pockets and in.micro bibblesin. settle out of the assist unit and power steering system, operations may be initially noise, accompanied by some in.pedal kickbackin. upon braking, and in.stiff / slow pedal returnin. caused byair in the systems.
