Engine Oil Additive “TB Zinc Plus” – Engine Break-In Oil Additive
Lucas Oil TB Zinc-Plus Engine Break-In Oil Additive is a highly concentrated zinc and phosphorus top-treat additive designed to significantly increase anti-wear protection during the critical break-in period of new or rebuilt engines running a flat tappet camshaft.
For Break-In & Long-Term Wear Protection
This additive helps seat piston rings faster while protecting the camshaft, lifters, and valvetrain from premature wear. It may also be used after break-in as a booster to enhance the anti-wear performance of both conventional and synthetic motor oils.

Ideal for Racing and Off-Road Engines
TB Zinc-Plus is excellent for racing engines that do not undergo a typical break-in period. Adding one bottle per oil change ensures a consistently high ZDDP content, offering maximum protection for flat tappet camshafts and the entire valvetrain.
It may also be used in off-road gasoline or diesel equipment to enhance wear protection and prolong oil life.
Application & Mixing Ratio
One 16 oz bottle added to 4.5 quarts of motor oil will raise zinc levels to approximately 5,000 ppm.
We strongly recommend using this type of additive in any engine with new non-roller lifters.
The small investment per oil change is minimal compared to the cost of a failed camshaft or valvetrain.
This product is not intended for on-road passenger vehicles, especially model year 1994 and newer, or any engine equipped with emissions control devices. Excessive zinc/phosphorus levels may damage these systems.
