Radiator overhaul, water cooler overhaul Who wants to keep his original radiator with the original radiator number, we can recommend this service.
The radiator will be delivered as original roughly primed in black. We work together with a radiator builder, who convinced us with the quality of his work. With his help we can offer you a high quality overhaul of your radiator within 3-5 working days.
The radiator net will be replaced by a new one. The radiator will then be pressure tested and freshly painted in original black matt (as original, no show paint). Optionally, we can reduce the width of the cooling fin spacing. This increases the cooling capacity. From factory the spacing of each cooling fin was 1/2in. (12.4mm) to 9/16in. (14mm) . We can go down to 3/8in. (9.45mm) down. For those with high efficiency fans, we can also go down to 5/16in. (8mm). Also optionally we can have thicker cooling meshes installed. This is easiest if the upper and lower water tanks already provide the space for it. Mostly only the lower water tank is too small, this one can be built then also again in larger. In this case, the previously included oil cooler for the automatic transmission is usually omitted. All options and special requests of course increase the price!
We can offer separate oil coolers for automatic transmissions in all possible sizes. Of course a complete custom cooler build is also possible.
Furthermore, of course, a deeper net can be installed, at least as long as the upper and lower tanks give the space for it. If a tank is defective, this can also be repaired by our radiator builder.
We have also had "custom coolers" built that included a larger, self-built lower tank so that an optimal mesh depth could be installed.
