Tech: This oil seal should always be used when synthetic engine oil and higher oil temperatures are driven. It has only advantages over the cheaper rubber oil seal.
With all 2-piece oil seals, please make sure that the lips of the two half rings are always mounted exactly on top of each other. The position of the rear main seal retainer is crucial here. The lips of the shaft seal must always be mounted pointing inwards (into the engine).
