Here we offer you a Hi Flow thermostat which brings the same performance as the twice as expensive other manufacturers. We install it as standard in all vehicles and engines in our workshop and are convinced of this article.
We do not recommend installing lower or higher temperature values. Customers often get the idea that a 160°F thermostat can improve the cooling performance of their defective cooling system. But this is not the case! The cooling capacity remains the same. Here you have to search for the real defect, e.g. no thermostat installed, clogged radiator network, insufficient fan power, missing fan shroud, no coil in the lower radiator hose, incorrect or defective water pump (vehicles with air conditioning need an 8-blade impeller) etc...
