These gaskets have metal sleeves at the bolting points so that they cannot be overtightened. They also have a specific side for sealing to the cylinder head and the other is specifically for sealing to the valve cover. The material description says rubber, but it is a much stronger material than the blue Moroso valve cover gasket version, for example. We do not recommend using it with sheet metal covers, where cork is the better, more supple material.
Installed here with Mopar Performance aluminum valve covers and MsPro cylinder heads, the whole thing fits very well.
